My name is Becky, I’m married, a mother of three great kids and live in Southern California. I was a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) Coordinator for 4 years and I’m a graduate of Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
First, let me say that I love being a stay at home mom. As a mother to three young children my days are made up of a never-ending mixture of diaper changes, snacks, crying, laughing, hugging, playing and just praying that they’ll finally go to sleep!
It’s an absolute blessing, but in the midst of the daily repetition and emotional exhaustion I have a deep, desperate need to create and finish something other than the dishes. Daily I do my best to dedicate stolen moments to things I am passionate about – and my goal is for this website to focus on the things I love to do in my “Moments 4 Mommy” time.
To be a happy, healthy mommy I’ve learned that I need to set aside time for me, time for God, and time for hobbies. It’s often difficult for me to give God the moments He deserves. For years I’ve felt guilty for the little time I devote to Jesus. Moments have been scare and inconsistent. But I’ve learned that God will use whatever time I can give Him, even if it’s stolen minutes in the restroom, usually with little fingers reaching under the door.
Recently God has nudged me to write down and share some of my many mommy stories, times when I have found grace, hope and peace in the hectic days of young motherhood. I hope and pray that my moments might encourage you in you own mothering journey.
